No matter how many times I watched Titanic, I would end up crying. It just so (*I feel so girly talking about this*) touching.
Life in the past was much deliberating as compared to now. In the past, people weren’t given much options in our marriage. No matter which cultures-Chinese, Indian, Europeans, etc.It was much of arranged-marriage with someone of your social class or upper-class instead of marriage out of love. A marriage of love wasn’t easy. Therefore people in the past appreciate the meaning of long-lasting love.
People nowadays is easily captivated by the norm of the world---break-up, find a new one, have sex, break up..I am talking about the NORM today not others. It is just that marrying your love one in the past was difficult because of different society classes. I guess that’s why people in the past appreciate their loves one so much.
Just because we have the freedom to pursue what we want, who we want then, we want pursue more. We want a partner with a stabile job, cars, credits..*YOU NAME IT* but forgetting to marry the one who will hold us through thick, who we love and love us.
Money for me personally is not that important as people claimed. Some people said that it is because I am still young and could not understand the importance of money. I KNOW.I KNOW the importance money but WHY depends on your partner when you can earn it YOURSELF? WHY MONEY WHEN YOU CAN RELY ON GOD?
I know there are many factors to a relationship. Some people told me they quarrelled with their spouses because of the lack of money. But it’s because they don’t see God as their refuge and strength. In everything we do, we must see HIM as our provider.
I am not saying I am very godly here but in YOUR LOVE too, you should always check on yourself. I used to think that if my husband cheats on me, I would just file a divorce with him. But when I think of it now, perhaps I would just hold on and pray to God. I will rely on HIM and I know He will tell me what to do. =)
