The Schindler's List

POSTED ON: 18 August 2012 @ 9:27 PM | 1 comments

It’s often reflective to watch movie that exhibit how torturous and unfair life could be that you will know how blessed you are.

Schindler was a German who saved more than 1000 lives of the Jews during the holocaust with all the millions of bucks he had profited from his business. He stood against murder, cruelty despite the pressure and influence of the war (the killing of the Jews also known as holocaust). It must have been difficult to stand against those  powers knowing that sometimes things can get out of control. At one scene after the war ended, he cried saying that he could save more life if he sold his car and pin after his assistant reminded him, that in Hebrew ‘Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire’. He thought he didn’t do enough.  But, the Jews that he saved are called the  Schindler ’s Jew that numbered more than 6000 more than the population of the whole Jewish in Poland, less than 4000.  The show is named after  Schindler ’s list because the list of names he asked his secretary to type to save every Jews he could possibly think of. It’s a great show reminded me how ugly life could be, how precious is one life, how faith could be the only source of hope & strength in time of darkness, how blessed am I once again. To act out of kindness is not difficult, it’s whether you want to or not. One simple act could change one life.

 I will rephrase it then,

‘Whoever changes one life, changes the world entire’.
